Fast-growing public affairs firm announces hiring of communications expert Jason Kello
WASHINGTON – Today, Adfero Group announced the expansion of its public relations team with the addition of veteran PR professional Jason Kello, who brings more than seven years of experience in the communications industry.
Kello joins Adfero as an Account Supervisor and will share his expertise in media relations, political communications, speechwriting and new media strategies to help execute integrated public affairs campaigns for the firm’s public and private sector clients.
“Jason’s many years of Inside the Beltway public relations experience will be invaluable to our clients who are trying to make an impact with the media and policymakers,” said Jeff Mascott, Adfero’s Managing Director. “Jason will play an important leadership role on Adfero’s team as we continue to expand with new clients and campaigns.”
Immediately before joining Adfero’s team, Jason served as the director of public relations for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance where he successfully secured media coverage for the professional association in national and industry publications. He also oversaw a re-organization of INSA’s online presence and developed the organization’s marketing strategy and collateral materials.
Previously, Jason spent several years as a communications director on Capitol Hill for Rep. Mark Foley (Fl.-16), where he served as the Congressman’s chief spokesman and oversaw the development of the office’s messaging strategy. As a speechwriter for Senator George Allen (R-VA), Jason also drafted a number of key policy addresses delivered as part the Senator’s national speaking schedule.
Jason also served as a public information officer for the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office in Richmond, Virginia, where he served as the office’s primary spokesperson and trained deputies on media relations. Jason was also involved in a number of local and state political campaign efforts in Virginia.
Jason earned a B.A. in political science from Hampden Sydney College in Virginia where he was part of the James Madison Public Service program.
