Facebook quietly launched their latest update for brand Pages yesterday. Below are several screenshots (post withheld) of the latest analytical information that Page administrators now have access to:

The organic, viral and paid reach of each post, as well as the percentage of the Page’s fan base that saw the post, are all now just a click away. Administrators have the ability to better serve their Page by monitoring responses for quality assurance while using the information to better craft their next post. These tools also allow administrators to measure audience engagement. Based on the number of people who saw your post, are you getting a good level of interaction? Or are your fans liking your page and never returning? These new analytics should provide some specific insight on these questions and more.

Facebook’s definitions of the organic, viral and paid metrics are:

  • Organic growth – number of people who saw your post in the News Feed or ticker, or on the Page’s wall
  • Viral – how many people saw the post in a story from a friend
  • Paid – number of people who saw your Page post in an Ad or Sponsored Story

Having these metrics readily available re-enforces a mutually beneficial relationship between the Page and its Fans.

In addition to this information, you can promote a post with the simple click of a button. Facebook also provides an in-page estimate of how many people your post will reach, depending on your investment, before committing to the purchase.

What benefits do you think the new analytical tool will provide? Tell us in the comments.
