Each year, Adfero and The National Press Club team up to provide a continuing education series for communications professionals looking to keep informed and get ahead called “Get PR Smart.” Our first event, to be held June 22nd of this year, is entitled, “How Pinterest Can Help Brand Your Cause.” This seminar will equip you with tips and tactics for leveraging your brand’s cause on Pinterest.
Pinterest, the social media bulletin board that allows users to easily pin (share) their images, has become one of the most frequently visited websites on the internet. Perhaps you know this already; whether you are planning an event, looking for photo inspiration or need some wardrobe direction, you’re on Pinterest. But, Pinterest can be used for more than just putting together a DIY wedding. Pinterest can also be a powerful tool for promoting your organization or cause through images. This concept will cause a shift in thinking for many organizations that are heavy on text and white paper writing.

For most PR professionals, continuing education means learning about the latest communications tactics.
Over the past year, Adfero Group and the National Press Club have sponsored the Get PR Smart series to focus on exactly these sorts of tactics: how to use the latest social media tools, how to connect more directly with a target audience, and how to effectively engage in media monitoring.
The next event – scheduled for Friday, December 10 – will take a different approach. The seminar will address one of the most important, but often overlooked, subjects for both PR professionals and clients: Establishing a Meaningful Client/Agency Relationship.
