Suzanne Zurn
Suzanne Zurn is a Senior Vice President at Adfero Group. She brings 18 years of communications experience in providing strategic counsel and campaign management to a variety of corporate, association and non-profit clients. Her expertise includes public affairs, digital and interactive, public relations, advocacy, and PACs.
Suzanne’s prior positions include serving in leadership roles at communication agencies Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Xenophon Strategies, 720 Strategies and Legislative Demographic Services. She also served as Communications Director at The George Washington University. Suzanne is also experienced with software and business development and led the creation of the political action committee (PAC) compliance software division at Capitol Advantage.
Suzanne has also had a successful career in political management. She was assistant campaign manager for Sen. Sam Brownback’s (R-KS) first campaign for Congress in 1994, and following his election she managed the constituent services department. In 1996, she served as finance director and deputy manager for Sen. Pat Roberts’ (R-KS) first campaign for the U.S. Senate. Following that successful election, Suzanne served as Rep. Jim Ryun’s (R-KS-02) interim district director.
A few highlights from Suzanne’s client success reel include awards from the Public Relations Society of America, the American Association of Political Consultants, and the Public Affairs Council. In 2011 she received individual honors with an Honorable Mention for Public Affairs Professional of the Year from the PR News PR People Awards.
Suzanne earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Management from The George Washington University, and graduated cum laude from Washburn University in with a bachelor’s in political science and communications. In 2003, Washburn named her an Alumni Fellow to the College of Arts and Sciences (she is the youngest alumna to receive this distinction).
Suzanne recently completed service on the Women in Government Relations Board of Directors and she continues to play an active role in the organization; she is also a member of the American Association of Political Consultants.
Suzanne and her husband, Mel, have a son and reside in Reston, Virginia.
