As a Vice President at Adfero, Taylor Bennett oversees a number of communications campaigns for a variety of clients in the business, technology and defense sectors. Accounts that he currently directs include American Airlines, Microsoft Corporation, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Taylor brings a breadth of knowledge and extensive experience in all aspects of public relations and communications including, public and government affairs, crisis communications, reputation management, media relations, third-party engagement and strategic counsel.
Prior to joining Adfero, Taylor was a member of the Technology and Public Affairs practice at Edelman where he spent nearly eight years working with a range of clients including Wal-Mart, Samsung, Business Software Alliance (BSA), the federal Department of Transportation and Toyota. On behalf of the BSA, he served as the program manager for a national marketing and communications campaign to help educate and activate audiences on issues related to software piracy, compliance policy and proper IT asset management.
With nearly three years of public sector client experience, Taylor was the Department of Transportation account lead and campaign manager for a variety of integrated marketing communications initiatives related to fuel efficiency and vehicle safety. He was responsible for managing multiyear, multimillion dollar budgets and team staffing, as well as supervising the subcontractor agency and in-house advertising, market research and digital teams.
Taylor spent more than a year working in Wal-Mart’s Arkansas-based headquarters where he was a member of the war room tasked with developing and executing a counter-offensive public relations and communications campaign on behalf of the company. He was also recently stationed in the United Arab Emirates for nearly three months where he supervised on-the-ground communications initiatives at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as in South Korea where he oversaw the global communications efforts surrounding an issues management campaign.
Before joining Edelman, Taylor spent the previous year in Washington as a Marketing Associate at Corporate Executive Board, where he managed business-to-business marketing of best-practices research and consulting services to Fortune 500 senior executives, resulting in more than $400,000 of new business.
A native of North Carolina, Taylor graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He was awarded the O.J. Coffin Scholarship from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication for his outstanding achievements.
